Agreed. And they're easy to identify, even if unmarked, by the scrunched beading near the joint of the 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock arms. I believe every example I've seen has had a very copious amount of frosting on the beading and a very bright, mirror-like rhodium finish on the edges - even the W&L EK1s have these features.

W&L Quality !

IMO W&L EK's are the by far the highest quality of all the EK makers ! If they would have made the Knights Cross, what a beauty it would have been ! They have always been my favorite. I've been collecting them since the 1960's and have 10 of the most beautifull EK 2's I have ever seen. AND they have kept their finish all these years ! W&L are still in business today in the same location....sure would love to visit them !! Tom
