    Hi Peter,

Sorry for not responding earlier, this is of course a ribbon packet for the EK 2 ribbon (the one you informed me about )

I'm not aware of any other makers so to speak, but I will try to find who or what companies manufactured the ribbons, this may take some time if at all possible.....which I think it is.

I thinks it's great you're researching these......don't give up what ever you do !

I'll help in any way I can, I'll contact you over the weekend with my lines of research on the boxes/packets, I think I may just be able to help you.

    Kind regards,

    Marcus

Here's the packet not the best example, so guy's if you have one lets help Peter please........Allan you have an excellent one !!!

              Hi Peter,

Your more than welcome, and I can relate to your predicament 101% in all aspects.

I even have one or two ribbons that may interest you too. The early West Wall ribbon was a pale golden colour, and I have a nice mint 'orange' war merit medal ribbon !

              Kind regards,

              Marcus

                Bandweberei August Beiersmann, Wuppertal
                Heinrich Weyrich, Wuppertal
                Langensiepen & Müller Seidenbandfabrik, Wuppertal
                Rausch & König, Remscheid
                Anton Harpke & Sohn, Pilnikau

                  Nice one Gordon !!!!

That will keep you busy for a while Peter, I'll see what else I can find.......Gordon these are 'makers of the ribbons' and not distributers aren't they ?

                  Kind regards,

Yes they are manufacturers, not distributors.

                          Marcus.
Why are there two (2) markings on the packet. Any idea ?

                          Thanks.

Knoblauch is the maker, Behrens the retailer.

If I remember correctly Leine is a river, and I asscotiate it with Hanover in the North.......I was stationed at Paderborn and have been there shopping a couple of times

To be honest, I'm not sure now of what it is now, I would have thought the maker and the bottom distributer.

                              Kind regards,

                              Marcus

Gordon beat me to it and is correct I think,
