    Prinzen Spange

    Any thoughts please guy's.

On a 'Non combatant' ribbon. About as close as I can bring in the detail.

    Thank you

    Hi Dani,

The design is correct for a Prinzen Deumer, but from this photo it's not possible for me to say if it's original or cast (the detail is too soft in the photo).
    Best regards,
    Streptile

      Thanks, Trevor.

I'll work on it a little, see if I can come up with something a little better.

It appears to have a seam (top right side of date box), look around the sides and see if there is a seam. It also appears very soft on details. Last, there was no spange awarded for a non-combatant during WWII, they were awarded KVKs.

Sorry Jim, best I can do for the moment. Pics are original owners.

Your absolutely right though about the non-combatant spange award. First time I have ever seen a setup like this. Initial thoughts on that ribbon alone were one of complete surprise.

Based on this pics I wouldn't buy it.

Looks like there is a lot of pitting in the metal, which usually means it is cast.

Do you have a pic of the reverse?
I'd like to see the prongs

                    I agree, Ben

After also looking a little further into this one - CMSgt Jim, has also advised against.

Great to know that there are guys like you around, to keep guys like me from making a silly mistake.

                    Thank you again.
