Who's the maker of this DKiG?

I seen this DKiG on a web site and was wondering who the maker might be? I am interested in this badge and feel 100% certain it's a good piece.

I see that there is one rivet missing and the dried glue on the back. The swazzy has a couple specks of white paint and no enamel loss. Pin, catch and hinge appear unmessed with. Other than that I think it a very nice badge.

Yes i agree, it looks like a Zimmermann.
RKarum have you checked under the pin for a maker mark in this case 20?

I don't own it but the person that does own says it's an unmarked piece.

What do you mean, a light version? Is there a heavy version too? What is the difference and how can you tell the difference?

Nice Zimmy DKIG, you would notice the weight difference between the differences of metals used and what period it was produced.

Thanks for the positive responses towards this piece. Surely makes one feel more at ease when shelling out that kind of cash for an item.

Just to add to my limited knowledge on these badges, why is there a price difference between a "heavier" verses the "lighter" version? Is it better materials used, better over all quality of its construction or just personal preference?

The heavy "early" ones are made in smaller quantity than the lighter ones so they are not so common and have a little bit higher prices
