            Thank you

A member sent me this :

marking L/52 denotes the cross as a private purchase (as producer means a member of the Deutscher Leistungsgemeinschaft Ordenshersteller)
but the German Cross in Gold is banned from sale by private organizations.

Owners who wanted a second copy is addressed to Praesidialkanzlei
The copies were destroyed or lost in combat were replaced as a free

German Cross in Gold pads are known:

            CE Junker Berlin = "1"
CF Zimmermann in Pforzheim = "20"
            Gebr.Godet, Berlin = "21"
            Otto Hahn, Hanau = "134" d
            P Meybauer, Berlin = "7"
What do you think about ?

I think that this is BS!

German Crosses could not be bought privately. A German Cross, marked with L/52 is extremely rare and falls into the early time of the German Cross. There are only a very few of them, most early Zimmermann crosses are unmarked or - after late 1942 - marked with the PKZ-number "20".

Also, Juncker had the PKZ number "2" and there are no genuine Meybauer German Crosses, neither unmarked nor marked with "7". There was an Otto Hahn, but he was a German scientist. The person means most likely Klein/Hanau.... Oh well....

I sincerely recommend for every interested person (including the writer of the PM) this book which covers all aswpects of thsi high order:
