    WW1 Iron Cross.

Just wanted to know what you all thought about this. These are the only pictures I have. From what you can see, does it look real or is it a fake.

    Thanks.

I think Original , although it seems to have a scratch on the front to the left of the W going left on the core , as though someone tried to clean it and while doing so scratched it slightly parrell to the ribbing. It is sometimes difficult to express to sellers that it's best to leave things uncleaned. I would ask them if it has the scratch , as it may be a photo glitche.

I do agree with you juoneen, it does look like a scratch. Someone selling this not to far from me, and stated they they know nothing about the medals they have listed. Just didn't want to waste my time or their time seeing what they want for it, since they just said make an offer. Lol.

          Hello,

I'd not offer more than 65 USD for that example and if that's rust along the top of the 12 o'clock arm, along the side of the 6 o'clock arm or the bottom of the 9 o'clock arm I'd pass it by. If it's patina no problem but these are common and you don't want to find out there is active rust under the frame on the core.

Also, just for info, there is a sub forum a little further down that deals specifically with EK from the Imperial period and the guys there will most likely be able to tell you a maker.

          Regards,
          Stu

Yes, well worth it at 50 if it's rust free.
