    EK II class, Wilhelm Deumer?

    Hallo,

I'd like to know opinions about this EK II class; marked on the ring "3".
Original WW2 Wilhelm Deumer or not?

    Thank you!

Hello there, imo the cross is not a Deumer but an original "27" Anton Schenkl's.
    Cheers,
    Stefano

        Hi!

        Thank you for the reply!

The cross is marked "3" on the ring, and not "27" : how is it possbile? perhaps changed?

        Thank you!

I would think one of two things has happened. The ring has been postwar stamped, or the ring has been changed/switched. The cross is certainly no Deumer. A search in the archives will show you what a true Deumer '3' ring stamp looks like.

            Thank you Robert,

Looking with attention, the stamp appears very faint and hard to read for sure.
It might be also another number.. !

Anyway the ring seems to be original applied..hard to say.

            Thank you for your reply,

            Have a nice day!

                Great Robert!

Thank you so much for your interest!

Anyway I confirm the little number on the ring is really hard to understand what it is..
Anyway you agree it is original WW2 A.Schenkl, isn't it?

                thank you!

                  Yes, a '27' maker cross.

                        Hi Nick,

I tried to take a picture of the stamp, but my camera is not so "strong" to effect a macro picture where the stamp is visible..!

Sorry but it is really bad in picture..!

I've taken photos through a magnifying glass before. Crude, but effective.

The photo you show above doesn't look anything like a Deumer '3' stamp. It looks like a freshly-stamped ring as well, no patina.

                              It shines for the flash.
Anyway I'll try to take a picture with the glass..

                              keep in touch!
