    Stupid Question....

Forum Members, Came across an antique dealer today who had a Knight's Cross or a facsimile thereof.....It had the oakleaves with swords.....Now, the cross looked good (good detail with a patina) but was unmarked.....However, the O&S was stamped with a hallowed back.....No marks that I could see.....

My question is, did they make this style of oakleaves and swords (stamped w/hallow back) even IF they were perhaps just jewelers copies?......I think I know the answer, but thought I would ask to appease my curiosity.....Thanks for any information......Bodes

    Sounds like a fake!
There are no jeweller's copies of neither the RK nor any higher grade. All just dealer lore to sell fakes.

Thanks Dietrich.....I figured it was bad, and thanks for the heads up on "Jeweler's copies" or the lack thereof.....Bodes
