        Hi Guys,
Here is one of my favorite EKs. Love the patina. Its slightly vaulted.
I suspect its a Deumer....has a box under the clasp, but I can't make out any #s. What do you L/11 guys think?

              Hi Tim.....

.....nice images. Your EK1 definitely shows the charachteristics of a Deumer. Most notably the clasp, pin, hinge and the way the 1939 sits a little higher on the right....kind of like forward rake on a hot-rod.

One question: is your cross slightly vaulted or are my eyes deceiving me?

The reason that I ask is that mine is (I will be posting images later this weekend). When I purchased it from a very reputable man he informed me that my EK1 L/11 came vaulted from the factory and I have no reason to doubt him.

Anyway, If it looks like a Deumer and possess as many traits of a Deumer as yours does I don't see how it couldn't be one.

              My $.02

                Hello Tim

Looks like a Deumer to me.

                  Thanks guys.

Sim, the cross is vaulted, good eyes, but its not a curved vault. Each arm is bent back perfectly. Whoever did it knew what they were doing. Is your's vaulted like an imperial cross or are the arms bent back?

                    Hi Tim.....

.....Looking at your images and comparing with mine I think that they both were expertly vaulted, by someone that knew what they were doing. Mine does not have the vault like the Imperial EK's.....that is to say that it isn't a smooth vault like a baby-moon hubcap.

I am planning on posting some images by today's date.....I'm just a bit too tired this evening. So it would probably be a good idea to let the images speak for themselves, when I get them posted.

                    Regards,

                      L/11 EK2 Spange w/issue envelope

Here's my input, picked it up from Detlev last year. Not sure why the date is blacked out like this on the envelope, but it's the way it came.

Reverse with maker's mark. L/11 just above the bottom prongs.

                              My contribution

                              Hello folks,

Here is my contribution. One mint L/11 and one with quite a bit of wear. The mint one is great, but I believe that the worn one has that 'been there' feel to it.

Here is a photo of the front.
