It is similar to my spanish cross with swords. I think it's genuine.

          Greetings

I thought that these Spanienkreuz Ohne schwertern where made of one with the swords. These where than removed to get the Ohne schwertern variant. I've took a close look and I haven't been able to see any marks on the back of the eagles that the removal would leave. Where these crosses also made originaly without the swords?

            Just a question

            Cheers:Peter

              Peter

That only appears to be the case with crosses made by Meybauer.

                Hi to all,

Maybe I don't see it correctly, but the eagles appear to be one with the cross, nopt sepeately soldered to it.
Do I need glasses or did I miss something??

                  SPANIENKREUZ IN BRONZE WITHOUT SWORDS

                  DEAR BEN,

YOU ARE CORRECT, THE EAGLES HERE ARE ONE PART WITH THE CROSS.
THIS IS VERY NORMAL AND WAS DONE FOR A GOOD REASON.
IF YOU LOOK AT A SPANIENKREUZ WITH SWORDS, THE EAGLES ARE SOLDERED TO THE CROSS AND SUPPORTED BY THE SWORDS.

IF THEY HAD DONE THE SAME THING,(WITH A CROSS WITHOUT SWORDS)SOLDERING THE EAGLES TO THE ARMS OF THE CROSS, THEY WOULD EASY BREACK AT THIS POINT. PAY ALSO ATTENTION THAT MOSTLY ALSO THE TIP OF THE SWASTIKA IS TOUCHING THE CENTRAL PART OF THE CROSS INSTEAD OF NOT TOUCHING WHEN A YOU HAVE A SWORD TYPE.

                  PIETER.
                  SUUM CUIQUE ...
