A nice Juncker L/12 Ritterkreuz (Cord v. Hobe???)

    Finally back in Belgium.
I would like to present the KC awarded to Cord von Hobe.
It is a Juncker KC stamped "800 L/12" but with the very rare marked "800 L/12" sprungring.

    Best regards
    Kevin

        Hello Kevin,

Excellent find, how did you know it was from your KC winner? I like the story as much as the KC.

        Thanks for showing,
        Mike

            Hi Mike

I have the copy of the letter which was made and signed by Cord Von Hobe in 1973 when he sold his KC together with a couple of other items to a US collector. It gives a detailed description of cross, loop ( 800 L/12) and the snaps attached on the ribbon which are marked "PRYM".

            Best regards
            Kevin

For those interested Hobe is the son in law of the former General Colonel Franz Halder and was therefore put in connection with the 20th of july 1944. He was taken in kinship detention and was relieved of his official duties.

                Best regards

                  I remember this cross

Hello, I remember seeing this cross and the letter of sale from Hobe back in the 70's. It was at one of the OVMS shows, but I don't remember who the US buyer was. It is a beauty of a RK ! A whole collection all in one purchase ! Tom

Nothing better than a KC or any medal for that matter when you can put a face and how the award was earned!!!

                              Fantastic,
                              Mike
