Thanks for the photos GS, but there's a little problem: I can't find the name Erwin Walz on any record... is it correctly?

It is - he was awarded the KC in the final days of war, on the western front.

Maybe Gran Sasso made a mistake and the name was "Hans", instead of Erwin..

Different man. On his OdR ID (see post # 916) it says Erwin Walz. He also signed his ID with E. Walz.
On the OdR ID it shows his birthdate as 15. September 1919.

RK winner Hans Walz ( RK on 14. April 1945) was born on 01. December 1912

One question: no trace of Jochen Peiper's KC and documents?

The group is alive and well.

I had it on offer about one and a half years ago, but passed.

Beside the extremely high price, for which one rather buys real estate,
I already have a very similar LAH group.

                          Still it's very desireable.

If I'm crazy enough to still buy it, then I'll post a photo.

Would make a nice combo with my other stuff from the Peiper estate.

Then again, for the same money I might as well buy a Lamborghini....

                              Cheers,
