        Bordfunker 1. Schlagtgeschwader 5, Luftwaffe
        Awarded on: May 4th, 1944

        The Knight's Cross still in the hands of Trummer, who recently turned 98 years old.

                Interestingly the pilot badge is a post war example and the oakleaves look to be S&L.

                      The awards and decorations of Major Rudolf Witzig, at display on his ordenskissen during the funeral ceremony (03.10.2001).

                      It seems they put black tape on the WW2 medals.

                        According to Witzig´s son, his father held the CCC in Gold. Anyone knows more about that?
