The cross is a fake, the ribbon is not original and the case is pure phantasy. Other than that it might have some value.

It is a well known fake - readily available from many dealers (as just that - a reproduction), for example, see:
        http://www.thirdreich.ca/museumcopies.php?section=kca

This fake has features not found on any known originals, such as the extremely rounded inner corners of the beading, leaving a very small area for the swastika. Also has date styles not found on any originals, and the same cross is available in the guise of an übergroße EK2.

        As for the case, well....

        Regards - Danny

I just happened to be viewing museum replicas site and the same
box is housing a knights cross copy.

Probably not but certainly worth pointing it out. So would we call this a rounder or just a copy of a rounder?

This isn't the infamous 'Rounder' (which looked far more authentic), but I believe this is now being referred to a the 'new rounder'.

                @ Raymond,
Have you removed the images, I am getting a message that they are now private and cannot be viewed?

I see the exact same cross (same pictures) has been sold here:
                http://www.icollector.com/CASED-GERM...ROSS_i13574742

I hope for your sake you weren't the buyer....

No, No.....I would never buy anything especially something as costly as a KC without checking in here first. I just saw it for sale and I wanted to find out if my suspicions were correct.

That's good to know. They're way to expensive for fakes, a Souval perhaps, but not this.
