Knights Crosses from the good old days

....when I started to like them...a picture from 20 years ago but still all in the collection.
All are directly from the actual wearers. KM, LW, HEER...and SS, all present
    Pieter.

Wow! Did you say you have provenance for every one of your crosses? Who was the recipent of the swords? Thanks- great collection!

This brings the question- what does your collection look like now if this is from 20 years ago?

You are right Phillipe, I would probably have to take nitroglycerin before viewing the picture! I can only speculate that it has increased in size 2-3 fold!

i realize that it was easier to get them before, but is it all about money or??

I mean thats a lot of money lying there, I collect artglass and art but trade and sell to afford to get better pieces. But how you do guy do it????

Tom, to us mortals this is impressive but in Pieters collection it's just a foot note. He could start his own Forum and start threads for years in a row that would make you fall of your chair over and over again.
Oh well look at the bright site thanks to Pieters it's not our responsibility anymore to build such a collection.

Do you have a Knight's Cross tree Pieter?

Even 20 years ago, these things were not cheap.

                        Superb group.

The great thing about this is we have Pieter as an excellent world authority on RKs (with damn near all of them available in his collection!) and he is able to share with us his experience regarding these pieces. This is almost like a tangible "file cabinet" of RK information!

Pieter- That brings to mind another question. With such a large amount of reference material, have you considered writing a reference source for RKs? Gordon's section is excellent, but it seems based on information discussed routinely on the forum that it could be updated. Any thoughts?

                            Great Collection!

If you decide one of those RKs needs a new home, let me know.

I'm very lucky that he is living near my home so I can see them all in real.... . Pieter is always good for us to detect the fakes. That has saved us already a lot of money!!

                              Great collection you have Pieter!
