    DKiG Opinions please on components

Hi All , I had this cross turn up as part of a " dug lot " , there are parts of it i like and parts i dont like, it seems apparent to me that as the rivets are missing it is evident parts have been glued together and i am also not keen on the " red " beneath the swastica, but i thought i would ask your opinions on the components and what you see ? All comments gratefully recieved good or bad , Are parts original ?

Hi, In my humble opinion this '20' C F Zimmerman cross is right - although it does look like its been messed around with.

For me its original Zimmermann that someone had clean heavily.
And they have add the red color ring aswell, the original red color proberbly disapeard when its was cleand.

Looks like a "20" to me, has the proper die flaw in the 9 and the mm looks good too. Details of the cross look good as well.

                  Thanks
                  Mike

Might have been an original at one time, but I think it's been taken apart and put back together somewhere along the way. The rviets are gone, and that red paint under the wreath is a big red flag as it should be enamel there and hence why I think it's been taken apart and then put back together.

i agree complete with George - the parts looks original, but have a look at the black enamel, can you see some repairs on it? That´s the main reason to take a DK apart...

                      best regards,
                      Martin

I'm with George. The rivets no longer have that rounded edge that extends out of the reverse anymore. look to be bored out for some reason.
