Iron Cross Spange L/12, Real or Fake ? Vertical pins, not Horizontal

My gut feeling is that this is fake. I‘ve searched my books and this forum, and I can not find a reference to one like this, that has the pins run vertically versus horizontally.

This one can also be found with a number of other bogus marks, like L/54 and 107..

I must admit that I've always been impressed with the level of detail on this fake, if they had done a better job on the chicken feet..
