Vaulted Deschler WMC 1st class

Most of the wmc 1st class that I have seen on dealer sites are flat. The few vaulted ones (all with swords) were alle Deschler & Sohn and marked '1'.

My Question's:

Is Deschler the only one who produced vaulted wmc with swords?
Are there also vaulted ones by this maker without swords?
Are only the early Deschler's marked with '1'?
Last Question, are there any books written about the wmc, in English or German

I have a vaulted Deschler marked "L/10" and a vaulted Klein & Quenzer marked "65." I don't have a vaulted example without swords, and I don't know if Deshcler made them, but I did see an unmarked one (and a screwback!) on a dealer's web site recently.

Welcome to the forum.

I've never heard of vaulted WMCs untill now. Not being a big
fan of WMCs, I guess I need to do some more studying on them.

The 65 and unmarked look to have been hand vaulted to me. The L/10 could well have been produced that way.

If you study the reverses of the other two you will see marks indicative of pressure or striking. In the centre in the unmarked and on the outer areas on the 65.
