Piece of KC ribbon?

Hi,
I tested this ribbon, it does not glow and it burns, does not melt.
Is this a good 8 inches of KC ribbon?? Thanks for any help.

Any one have a clue if this is an original RK ribbon?

It has a white stitch count of 20 (I think), so I do not believe that it is wartime production. Optimally, it should be 25, although rarely originals are found with 23 or 24. It might be intended for a 1957 version cross.
