Nice L/52 Mark !
A question I had .. just looking at the L/52 mark which is pounded on the pin unuaualy deep . Can you tell if there is a faint 2 just in front of the mark ? Almost looks like one which might exsplain the heavy strike of the L/52 ?? A possible re-assigned award cross for LDO sale ?? Can you tell ??

She is a nice one, and if I were still buying EK's it would be one to get! That core has a great look Mark! Love the core veining and sharp beading detail loaded up with frosting!
Douglas is right in the 2 from the PKZ 20 mark still visable IMO! we just discussed a Meybauer that had an L/13 overstamp on the PKZ 7....
Best of luck selling it!

Sure looks like a interesting mm re-strike . The uneven depth of the L/52 and faintness of the '2' also would indecate the number 20 may have been polished down/out a bit and then struck over with the L/52 . Actualy the LDO number was hit 2 times ... the lighter strike being off-kilter so to speak .... probably leaving too much of the 2 showing creating a '2L/52' . Mike -- looking from the side can you tell if there is a polishing dip where the L/52 is struck into ?
