1939 ek2 with strange ring mark

After being at a fello collectors house tonight, he offered me this ek2.
The makers mark, or what I assume to be the makers mark, looks like an upside down chevron/ triangle.
The frame is quite poor IMO with some flaws on the beading.
Any thoughts?

The Mark to me look like a badly struck '4' I wonder if 'Steinhauer & Luck Ludenscheld' sold 55s as their own??

I believe they were produced entirely by Hammer & Söhne and never was an EK supplier for S&L.
