Gentlemen,
I'm not an awards collector, but I like this decoration a lot. It's a shame and a sign of the times that the Federal Republic of Germany didn't reinstate this magnificent order with it's beautiful Schinkel design when going to Afghanistan some years ago. German politicians don't care about correct history, because when they would do so, they would know that the original decoration was more of a 'revolutionary' and even 'leftist' award (so politically correct). But hey, if you would tell these people that Hitler ate potatoes, they would probably ban French fries too...
The 1914 EKI is made by 'KO'. Anyone knows who this maker is?
