Comments please as I know these are sometimes questionable. This is in the lot Tom and I bought last week and appears good, but you never know.

I don't like the L/12, I think it is a fake as the head and date look like a Deumer spange, plus the prongs on the back are mounted wrong. Jim

Good comparison Jon ! ... from 2008 !
Some fakes will show up with different maker marks . I had that L/12 stamp down as a fake Juncker mark .

Is the packet and ribbon possibly good? I didn't like the color of the spange from the start and the prong assembly wasn't like any I had encountered in the past or in my collection.

From what I can telll ... the ribbon seams good . The envelope I do not know .

I do not like the packet at all! The stamp placement and lettering would make me pause to consider. The second "N" shape is something else I do not like too much.

Regarding the pronges on this one, I have seen, and own one also, which have the pronges mounted this way.
Not this sloopy though, but in the same style, where one long pin is soldered to the back and makes out two pronges.

Packet is not original, an old fake. I thought that
Frank & Reif did not make spange so that should make you think.
