    2 medal groupings with doc's. EK1 & EK2 and others...

    Hello,

the USPS delivery driver brought me today a whole bunch of goodies....
These two groupings were amongst lot's of other stuff

First grouping belongs to O.Gefr. Dietrich Boettjer.

He received the EK2 on 9/17/1943 while he did service in the 14./Gren.Regt.255
He received the EK1 on 3/28/1945 while he did service in the 3. (Fla)/Pz.Jg.Abt.184

Unfortunately there are no doc's for the BWB and the east medal.

I love them and I would like to hear what you think about the groupings

The second grouping belongs to Heinrich Saal.

He received the drivers badge on Jan. 10'th.1944 (Kr.Kw.Komp 9 L)
    He received the KVK 2'nd class on Sep. 1'st. 1944 (Kr.Kw.Komp 130)
He received the BWB on Jan. 8'th.1945 (San.Komp 1/130)
    He received the EK1 on Jan.17'th.1945 (Kr.Kw.Komp 130)

Note: The KVK document was signed by Fritz Bayerlein, RK with swords holder and oak leaves from the Panzer Lehr division.

Nice groups!! The EK1 in the first set is for fighting in Holland against the British in 1945.

The second one is even better. It looks like the EK is the result of his wound from Christmas, 1944. Panzer Lehr Divison was commited to the fighting in the Bulge at the time. His wound may have occurred in the vicinity of Bastogne. Can you show a close-up of the stamp on the EK2 doc?

            Very nice little groups.

The Zimmermann 6. with the left-opening catch is (IMO) correct for their latest model (1944-45), and is in its typical and correct black-base case, and the EK2 is in the right K&Q stamped Packet. Nice to see sets that are really sets.
            Best regards,
            Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

nice! I really want to have a small grouping with EKI and EKII and with their documents! and I like the EKs' documents dated in middle/later war, i think the time was tough at that moment.
              congratulation!!

Really very nice group, I wish I had this one.

PS: another EK 2 envelope from soldier who really hurried to have the cross

                      Hello Streptile,

thanks for the kind words, both set's come from a highly reputable WAF member, no "mixing and matching" on these two groupings

the receiver probably ripped this one open comparable to Hulk Hogan ripping his shirt apart before a fight....well, that was back in the days

                        Two really nice groupings.

I am really impressed by the first group with the EK I and II.
But I wouldn't mind add the 2nd group to my collection either.

                        Nice catch.
