Number 6 Black Base And L12 Juncker Black Base

The screw back bases are normaly black, I don't think I've seen a white one in person yet.
It's a normal box, paper covered with no motif on the lid exterior (so the box could be used for various awards, wound badge etc if encountered with an LDO on the exterior it would be the 'older' style motif)
The base is the only difference, an 835 for the maker KB a normal one would be a 621.
These 835 boxes aren't as common as there counterparts but you can normaly find a black based one at the usual dealers from time to time.
To answer the other question in the other thread:
Why are some EK (pinback) boxes fitted with a black base ? Well as I've said in other threads the KVK and EK box are one in the same, just different coverings etc (forget specific contracts for now, dealing with catches and coverings)
The base for say a KB made box for arguments sake, which is the most common maker for the KVK and EK are one in the same a number 621 (base). They used the same base for the two awards.
More often than not, EK's have white bases and KVK's black. I think every once in a blue moon for what ever reason, the bases were interchanged.........'you've run out of white bases for EKs, bugger, so I'll take several hundred from X pile for the KVK to carry on production tonight of the EK boxes'
Just my theory ! Theres nothing more to it than that in my mind, so all this rare pin back EK box with a black base is not worthy of the extra money some dealers insist.
Christ you can make your own now
A simple theory of mine, but I believe it more than not.
Kind regards,
Marcus

I don't have a white-bottomed screwback EK case, but here's one being offered on Thomas Huss' site right now: http://www.german-historica.de./cgi-...0_1_0901&ln=enGeorge

Here's the URL of the homepage: http://www.german-historica.de./
You'll have to navigate your way in to the case after that. It's located in the "Shop" in the "Medals and Badges" section.George

I have a problem as well with this and some other of these 'frame' sites (mostly Dealers in Germany Btw) and for the life of me I cant figure out why. Simple is better for web sites IMHO, especially if you are trying to sell something.
It might be a cookie issue, when I get some time I will try to figure it out.

Nice cross and case
