    EK2 113: fake or variante?

    Hello guys,
what do you think about this cross? Many particulars could indicate a good one but it don't seems to match the 113 mm crosses. Thanks

Interesting -- it's a W&L 100 with a 113 on the ring. However, there are pretty good fake 113 stamps, and I think this is one of them. So overall I would guess this is a good period W&L that someone has stamped to make it more attractive to buyers who believe a marked cross is better than an unmarked one.

    I'd pass on it.
    Best regards,

The one thing I would ask is if the ribbon ring has a break in it, is it possible the ring is a replacement? If not then it's exactly as Trevor says.

            I agree!

I would pass and get a Textbook example like the one Nick have.

The 113 font isn't even right. The original ones are more sharp edged.

I looked at the ring and it doesn't have any break. Surely not a replacement. Measurements and weight of the cross are as follows: 44,08 x 43,84 mm and 22,38 gr. weight.

you don't need to replace the ring to stamp it.
