Are Mint Wiedmann EK2 easy to find ?

While picturing a duplicate private purchase Cased EK2 for the estand, I finally succeed reading the mm on the case : E.F. Wiedmann !
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=472058

Then I am now thinking to keep it & putting a mint (sorry I am a mint cross guy ) Wiedmann EK2 in it instead of the W&L currently in it.

But are mint Wiedmann EK2 easy to find ????

    thanks

Really a very, very nice and rare case -- and I agree that the maker is E. F. Wiedmann Frankfurt. It's a terrific find, Michael.

I've never seen a truly mint Wiedmann EK2. But why not get one that matches the condition of the case, or just a bit better? I think a nice Wiedmann in exellent condition would look perfect in there.
    Best regards,
    Streptile

      Thanks Trevor...

Not really an EK2 guy but I will keep it ! and try to find a Wiedmann EK2 in a very good condition for it (with 100% paint & no veins)

It's the first jeweller EK2 case I know being 100% associate with a know EK2 maker.

for reference, one more pics with his Paulmann & Crone brother

I think you have made a good decision Michael! You will find a cross and the two together as a set would be quite rare IMO! I doubt anyone else can show us a Wiedmann marked case!

Are there any more opinions on this case? I would appreciate any opinions as I may purchase it?
              Thank you

Still looks good to me Steve. Is there something that is concerning you?

                Regards,

                  cloth in centre

The piece of cloth that holds the ribbon glows under blacklite? That is my one concern? Beleive me I like the case but am wondering about ti?

As you can see, the small strap was soiled & cleaned which will probably explain the reaction of black light...

the case was discussed on the case forum when I purchased it !
