Small EKII spange for review

Hello guys,
i will need your thoughts on a small (Prinzen) EKII spange mounted on a WWI bar.
The metal of the spange is really dark and it has a lot of flaws on the wings...
I don't have any experience on spanges and i don't even know if this kind of combination is considered legit.

The spange is an L/16. The prinzen size spanges were made for medal bars, but have seen all sizes used. Jim
