    My new Klein DKIG

Just got this in with a group of medals that was recently found in the attic of a house. Due to other purchases, I may be putting this one on the estand soon. Comments welcome.

Nice rare "intermediate" (presumed) Petz & Lorenz Spange in great shape for this maker.
          Best regards,
          Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

Could it be a Steinhauer & Luck because of the notch in the eagle's beak caused by a defective die?

            Regards,

Very nice DKiG! Exactly what I am looking for! Nice patina and for sure worn!
Can't say much about the Spange...
              What a find!!!!
              Best Regards!

The German Cross looks to be by Otto Klein & Co. with a mm of 134. They placed the mm on the center of the medal back, or mid way down the back of the pin shaft (outside). It looks like an original to me, but you definitely need some of the experts to determine the authenticity.

Dietrich Maerz's books make things a lot easier for me, and that makes me very dangerous (I think!).

                Regards,
                Don_

thanks for the comments folks. Dietrich did review both of these items and gave both a thumbs up.

The spangen does look like P&L, but on Petz&Lorenz there is no weins.

Here is the picture next to my to compare,

                      ....did they have two dies?
