Is the image flipped or reversed in some way that the date is at the top of the wreath and can be read as "1941" in the normal way (left to right) or is that an optical illusion?

I have advised seller not to exchange any money until it is discussed here. He has verbally complyed with this. There has already been an instance on the e-stand with a PAB 25 not being legit.

The gentlemen has aquirred these from his father and knows nothing about them, only what a so called dealer in the phoenix area has said and, from what i got, the dealer gave em all a thumbs up. I have informed seller that all future medals should be discussed in the appropriate forum before posting for sale in the e-stand. I hope this will eliminate any furthur problems.

I think it's an optical illusion. I see it as just an upside-down "1941".

Optical illusion again! 2 in one night! (This is, however, a good example of why photos can be deceptive, and most "dipping rings" are not that at all.)

Guys,,,how can you call this DKIS good based on these photos??
Construction and details of the wreath are key in this decision,,and yet you guys are calling it good and we cant make out any wreath details???


The pics are crap and so is the award IMHO until I see more clear and detalied shots,,,
besides if its real,,why didnt the so called arizona dealer purchase it if the seller only wanted 700.00???

I asked for better pix too but I guess it is sold. In fact I think the cross might indeed be okay from what one can see, but with the backing paper missing I am suspicious about the silver wreath. Could well be a "pimped" gold wreath.
