    Maker Mark 4 or 24

    Hi there,
    can anyone tell if this is a 24 or a 4

    i have asked seller he says it looks like a 4 under a loop

      As the cross is a '4' I would say, a '4'.

          That's actually a very typical S&L 4. Once you "see it" right, you'll see it... I don't know how else to explain it

                        I agree. the wound badges are sometimes marked with a "4" on that skinny pin. Very hard to make out. Look hard enough it speaks to you

                            some times when you have a question on what the maker mark is, if you turn it upside down or rotate the picture it sometimes helps... just a trick I learned a long time ago... not all the time but a lot of the time...

                              Or focus on the area around the MM.

                              If you stare to long on an object, it get obscurred, but focus not directly on it, it becomes (often) much more clear.
