EKs with blued cores

Hi guys does anybody seen EKs with blued cores, not painted? Is it possible?

Yes I own one, it's mm'ed 19 and has the Imperial style look where the frame converges to the swas which makes it look like a Schinkel but of course the swas and date are of the 'normal' proportions and the size of the cross in general. I guess this is an early one ? Due to the use of the Imperial die's for the frame. (pre 1942 ?)

The iron core is 'blued' not painted, which gives it a gunmetal dark grey colour rather than black painted crosses.

Very nice photos Marcus,and a VERY nice cased EK11.

I especially like the recess for the ribbon, made just the right width to take it.

Thank you for the info Marcus. I asked because I have seen 1st class EK with core which was blued. But the cross which I have seen was not an early type.
It was standart mid war type.
