    Juncker EK1

    Hello all,

I'm sure this has been brought up before but as a refresher, is there any reason why there are so many L/12 marked EK1 yet none marked '2'?

(well, I don't recall any but maybe there are some out there?)

Also, from what I've seen here 'Juncker' seem to have had several types and combinations of frames/cores. Again, any speculation as to why?

    Hi Rich,

can't answer your first question, but the second is not so hard.

Juncker ordered a lot of crosses from other manufacturers, and marked them L/12 (or had them marked)

      Ben,

So Juncker didn't make any, just ordered in parts or already assembled crosses?

        No, sorry Rich.
        I was a bit unclear.
As far as I know Juncker did make their own ek's, but ordered a lot of ek's, or parts from W&L, S&L and possible some other manufacturers as well.

OK, Ben. I see what you're saying now. But strange no EK1 marked '2'? Maybe they didn't produce the EK1 for the PKZ, only for the LDO.

          No theories out there?

Aren't there unmarked Juncker EK I's that could have been produced for PKZ?

I really don't know why they didn't mark the crosses later on, I havne't seen any "2" marked ek1 ever (at least: not a real one with a real marking)

Greg : most likely they were unmarked, but why, I don't know.
They marked their KC's with a "2" as well..
