    Thanks Kevin,

There are those who would argue K&Q, but this is NOT the pin assembly seen on K&Q KVKI's. Not even close. IMO, it's a Juncker pin assembly.

    Robert

Cannot say much about the award - other than they are different .
The one Greg has what I consider a post war L/12 mark and a Souval looking 57 pin set .
Roberts KvK I appears to have Juncker pin set ... however I am inclined to call that a post war L/12 mark unfortunatly .

        Douglas,

Since we're on the subject could you please post a period 'L/12' maker mark, if you have one? Not one W&L used, but an original Juncker used stamp. It would be good to see what is considered a true Juncker stamp.

        Regards,
        Robert

This one Robert has the true Juncker L/12 mark which is hard to find . The arm pebbling is the standart dot type on the Winkler piece . Yours reminds me of the splatter dimple patteren as found on Spanish Crosses and as such would be an early piece that should not be marked at all . The front pebling does not match this one which could indicate a 2nd die .

2 destinct features seperate the 2 working dies . the strong chizel tip '1' and the tip of the '2' lines up horizontaly with the '1' .

            Thank you Douglas,

Here are two which I have kept in my files for years. See how they compare...

                  Also, mine

I like Juncker They are not realy rare, but the price politics make it to the one of my most wanted EK1 and KVK1

                      Hi Douglas,

                      No prolem for me ;-)

to make high level pictures, it is like painting with light
This maker mark belongs 100,0000% to this KVK1.
It is only a question of, where the direction from the light is comming from and the lights are to big to have enought place between the KVK1 and the DigCam if I make close up photos, so I have to choose an other light direction beside the DigiCam. That's all ;-)

But it looks different to me as well. So sometimes it is very hard to judge a EK1 if you compare EK1 with different light directions. But if you turn the light in you mind, you will find some identical characteristics

Even if try to turn the light these are only very few spots that match . Not enough to convince me that they are the same . Of A could I ask for - if possibly to see another picture of the mark with the scratch marks to the right of it ?

Did not find at first when Robert asked for one but here is a real good closeup shot of the Juncker L/12 mark showing the important proportions and design features of that marking die where we find so many attempted and very close immitations of .

Is there anyone here who can say whether the cross itself is or isn't a Juncker? Based on die characteristics, etc.? Have we answered that?

Because -- based on what I know from EK1s -- the hardware on Robert's old KVK1 looks like the only really convincing Juncker hardware in this entire thread, and not one of the other crosses here matches his cross (especially the pebbling).
                            Best regards,

The first shown KVK1 is imo 100% textbook Juncker

How then should we determine what is a "good" Juncker KVK 1? Preponderance of one type of example in collections? Hardware that matches a Juncker EK 1?
