L17 round 3??

I have my suspicions about this cross,i bought it from a dealer on the internet. Its a non magnetic round 3 with a mm on the ring of L17.
What i find a little strange is, in my opinion its not very well constructed.the silver edges don't seem to line up.
Anybody know what i have here??

Its 3 piece construction and the ribbon ring is soldered, so somebody has taken a lot of time and trouble constructing this cross, but just not very well.

The core is for sure fake, but is the frame? Just an idea, but it looks like somebody might have used some trickery on this one.

The frame looks the same as my round 3 EK2 that has also been declared fake. The core is different though; mine is zinc...

not sure what the core is made of possibly is zinc. I guess this is not a recent fake

Mine also had that messy off center hump at the top of the frame for the jump loop; I just sanded it off since it was already bullocksed up... misaligned frames too.

These are fairly new fakes making the rounds. They're pretty damn good.

What i find strange is whomever faked this could'nt be bothered to line up the frames or put the fixing for ribbon ring in the centre, but they soldered the ribbon ring and put a maker on it.
another question, did L/17 not make ek's? actually looking at the maker through my glass it actually looks like L/12.
