Is it just my eyes or do the arms look a bit long, out of proportion? still trying to learn EK's, so if it's a naive or flat wrong question please bear with me.

sorry Jim, a known Fake. Good attempt to copy a Deumer one (I you don't know well the original) but many differences...
To compare, here is one of mine I have on the estand

That is a good fake , Jim . The coner of cross arms and its pin are all diffrent .

And Michael's is really beautiful one .
This is one of mine , its core is made of brass .
