    New Cased Deumer L/11 EK1

This cased cross arrived today from the Estand. I must say I think I was in the right place at the right time on this one as it was priced quite nicely and is in great shape. It's a Deumer EK1 marked L/11 in the not easy to find Deumer stenciled case. This fills a hole in my collection as I have been looking for and missed out on a couple of these marked Deumer cases. Getting a complete set was a bonus as I did not have an L/11 marked Deumer from the 1939 series in my collection.

The maker's mark on this one is stamped straight into the frame, not stamped in a box. Which mark is harder to find?

The cross itself is in great shape. In hand the core looks almost perfect. In the pictures, still pretty nice.

Here's a better look at the maker's mark and another close up shot of the mark on the case. Of the two makers that marked thier cases like this (Deumer and Meybauer), I believe the Deumer one is harder to find and I have wanted one for awhile. These two photos are the sellers by the way. He did a better job than me on these. All others are mine.

          Wow, Steve!

The mark you show is less common, but it's not exactly rare.

          That is one unbelievable Deumer.
          Best regards,

Thanks Trevor. I wasn't looking to buy but when I saw this I found the money. Like I said, this was a very fair price and worked well for me. I got the marked case I wanted and an EK1 I did not have either that was actually in super condition, with what I believe may be the harder of the two styles of marks to find. I know neither mark is rare. It was my lucky day.

Thanks, it was a great set to pick up, filling a void in my collection. As for the core, in hand it's perfect, with only the close up digital shot showing only slight flaws.

Thanks everyone. I couldn't believe I nabbed it as it had everything I was looking for.

Chris, not sure if you misunderstood, but this was a set. The cross came with it.
