Is this an unusual place to mm a Deumer KVK1?

    Hi,

I've just got a quick question about a KVK1 that I bought yesterday. It's a nice 'combat worn'marked Deumer L/11 piece with the 'pencil style' pin (the flat one with the pointy end).

The question is, is it unusual to have the L/11 marking below the bottom pin hook instead of the middle behind the pin?

Also, is it possible from this to narrow down the approximate year of manufacture?

Very, very sorry for my crude drawing however I hop it explains what I mean.

    Many thanks for your time!

      Hi Michael ,

Thank you very much for the information Truely great news!

      Here are some pictures:

      Front:

      Rear:

It is in really lovely condition, there is virtually no finish loss, the finish has just tarnished/patinated with it maby being exposed to weather in combat!

I would clean to almost pristine condition but I would never dream of doing that, totally ruins the history of the piece!

Do you have any idea on what such a piece in the condition would be worth?

      Thank you again!

      Best,

      Joe
