Maker mark on a nice EKII

    Good eveneing all,
liked at first sight and just picked up this nice EKII that imo should be a 75 in the makers list. Then i realized there was a marking on it, a quite clear 80...
I know there are some discussions around the Osang EKs effective availability but i guess there is just something wrong here... Any opinion guys?
    Many thanks,
    Stefano

        Hi Stefano,

I believe your first impression was correct, this is an unmarked '75' which IMO has a post-war stamping on the ring (the stamp looks very 'fresh').

        Regards - Danny

The frame and core on this posted EK, look the same as both of my '75' examples.

Beading, date and swaz all seem the same as this one.

            Cheers,
            Bob.

Textbook '75' as you said, Stefano. I'd imagine Adrian is correct about the mark.
                Best regards,

Thanks everyone for comments on this. I immediately had the suspect and wanted to share it, in order to be sure.
Such a fancy marking on a nice original cross... that's really a poor one

I am wondering why it must be 75 when there was like about 130 makers Why I never read "it is mm 77" etc.. always same makers. No matter if it is marked or not. That is weird.
