        Greg,

You own a good and uncommon '107' already. Compare it to this one and see if they match. Not every cross by the same maker matches exactly, but in most cases at least the number stamp should match. Is this '107' stamp the same as your other one?

Also, this fake '107' is a Schinkel. As a point of reference, you should know that no Schinkels were marked. So right away that ought to raise some red flags.

Compare the cross on the left, a Fritz Zimmermann '6', to others by the same maker seen on the forum, and see if you can tell that it's a close match: the date numeral design, the pin and hinge, the design of the beading rims.

        Hope this helps.

Thanks Trvevor, I just compared the good 107 to this one posted and they are completely different in size, pin & hindge assemply, weight, design & stamp of the 107.

I printed out 2 threads on the FZ 6 and to me the one I posted is good. One on the thread even had the period . after the 6. I assume they did this so as not to confuse with a number 9.
I will serach the Schinkels threads and print as I have the Flochs & Latvian fake threads!
Thanks so much Trevor.....I'm beginning to see one of the method in seeing good from bad!!!!
