    Does this piece of paper with a generals name on it increase the value of the plaque ? I think that is your answer.

      True, people do "jazz up" pieces all the time to increase value but this one only sold for $35
      so it didn't add much at all to the value. In fact I'm surprised someone didn't pry the EK out of the plaque to sell it. Also this is an odd general to choose to stick on there -- He is not so well known.
      I suppose that if I ever get rid of this piece a person might ought to disregard the paper and just buy it for a souvenier piece or to put with their crosses as is regardless of the signature.
