Hi guys, I just pulled this out of a box. Being no expert I searched past threads and just can't tell. The obverse looks OK to my novice eyes, but I couldn't find a similiar pin & hinge set up.
        How's the case?
        Thanks for the help!

None of mine have that type pin...(coke bottle type mostly)doesnt mean it has to....this does resemble a WW1 IC type for wich maker type i am unsure. It seems to look fine in workmanship on the back , till you get a load of the pocked front at the top 12:00 ribbing, unless that is denting from a fall. Not sure that matters either, but usually fronts are made betterer.....or gooderer than this'n..... Case seems OK..Imo. Maybe another of this same pin style will materialize...we will see. I would think if this was an original it must be an early one.....i think i like it. Has what appears as an original patina. Im gonna give it a...ill stick my neck out on this one...any one want to chop it off? Someone also dropped it on the points once, and it must have rolled like a cartwheel on the tips. Not too bad on the damage at least..

Have not seen a pin like that before on a KVK...............

            Thanks,

Thanks Juoneen! The dent at 12:00 on the obverse looks like a dent through a loop. The workmanship, to me, looks like the same as known originals, even better than some. I just can't figure out the pin??? The case & cross came together, which I know doesn't mean much.
Hopefully someone can jump in and help clarify.

The setup looks a lot like Deumer / L/11 I think. The tip of the pin seems a bit sharper though.

                  Replacement pin perhaps?

Guys, is the conclusion a good cross & case with irregular pin?
                    Thanks so much!!

Guys is the cross & case OK with a strange pin?
                      Thanks!

I think it's a good cross. Not every manufacturer always used the same hardware
on every piece. I think it is very possible that it is an early cross and could be hardware from old stock from WW1. Germany just came out of financial ruin and like the generation that grew up during the depression, they wasted nothing.
                        Just a theory

I agree that it looks ok.

My first thought was L/11, but it's not.

I vote possible replacement pin / mm we haven't seen yet.

                          Is it non-magnetic / what's the weight?

It's non-magnetic & I can't seem to get my cheap scale to work....does 106.1 grams or 3.73 oz. make sense??? Sorry for the weight confusion.

... if it's four feet tall and made of lead, perhaps
