Hi,

I just got a new EKII today, but I noted something. Take a look at the inner corner of my closeup pictures. The frame can't get down to the core because of the swastika. Is that normal? I have never seen this before! Its a W&L, right?

You find this from time to time. A lot of makers had more than one set of core dies, and often a core didn't fit as nicely as the others did. It's still a very nice collectible. I have a few that fit together like this.

As Robert mentioned .. it is the core that does not fit well . Something one finds with crosses from W&L . Yours has the W&L 3rd core in it , .. which has the largest Swastika of all 3 cores and the inside frame points ride up on it .
Depending on the frame die the core is matched up with , one can find the other senario where the inside points not even close . Did up some time ago a picture that show a few W&L frame /core combinations that shows the big differences in core fit .
