If I'm not mistaken the cross looks like a typical Souval. What the 'LV 28' is all about I don't have any idea.

      Hi,

the cross is made by Souval.
The ribbon ring was replaced, imo.

      The LV28 is a maker of WW1 EK2 if i remember right.

I would check to see if that ring has been replaced. That is not a TR marking. Thre is a maker from the Imperial era that marls it's crosses with LV and a number, with the number varying.

            Hello Ischak,

I was looking at that cross and am more inclined to think the maker was using up some old parts rather than a repair. We know Souval was inclined to buy/sell parts so that does not surprise me.

            Regards,
            Stu

Thanks Stu and all for helping me with this piece. I was interested only since I am missing maker 28. So this is just Souval? hmm :/ Sounds it great, but I think I am passing on this one.
              ANyway thanks

                Hello Josef,

Yes, a Souval, which would be 98, if marked. You mention you are looking for a 28. Maybe I'm suffering from memory loss but I don't recall there being any EK by 28.

                Regards,
                Stu

                    Hello Josef,

I understand who 28 is assigned to but have never seen a 28 marked EK.

                    Regards,

                        Hello Josef,

I'm not sure what you mean but it appears to be that you feel a 28 marked EK will show up in the future. Well, I hope so...but doubt it. Best of luck in your hunt for one.

                        Regards,

                          Stu,

I ment, since there was world war II in my country, there is big amount of medals hidden in houses, and people even do not know it. Price here are very funny for originals, since old people do not know real value of medals/militaria.
