Ok gentlemen,
I'll make it easy to attack my experience. I've been collecting since i was a very little boy gathering ground-dug stuff every time it was plowingtime.
I quit collecting 14 years ago and it came back recently with a vengance.
I 've been studying DKIG for only 6 months, but try to be very observant.
I saw DKIG being sold with repaired ennamel with no effort, albeit with lower prices. I suspect these were repaired with cold ennamel witch i think does not look exactly the same. Honest sales with information about the repairs. no problem there.
Also i saw 5 pieces being sold in 6 months as original ennamel but with strange backsides.
These ofthen came with stories about burning tanks and DKIG recovered from deceased tankers.
Could it be these were simply re-ennamelled properly, and that the heating of the ennamelling proces ruined the finish on these?
I could be wrong, so fire away if you want, but this sure seems to make sence to me, more so than burning Panzer anyway...
