German Cross in gold-Real or not

I'm hoping I can get some input on this. I am very new in the collecting field so take it easy on me guys. I need to know if this german cross in gold is an original or a fake and how do you tell. I don't know how to attach pictures either. Can someone advise. Thank you kindly.

As for posting pictures you can use for example axis history forum to post pictures and add a link here, or if someone who is assosiation member could post your pictures (unfortunately I don't have the ability post pictures either). Or you can also join as an assosiation member.
