Junckers made 4 rivet german cross?

    Hello Gentlemen!
Does anyone have info about Junckers manufactured German Cross in Gold with 4 rivets. These supposedly existed (don't know if those were ever really awarded or if they were only some test pieces or samples/specimens). 5 rivet version with maker mark "2" is commonly known, but I'd like to get info on those 4 rivet pieces.
    Any info is greatly appreciated,
    Thank you in advance,

    L

I have never seen a genuine 4 rivet Juncker DK before. I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole.

Where are you getting your information from?

Do you have any pictures of these pieces?

I haven't seen genuine either (at least no proven).
I saw one version and it was well made (at least better than those Latvian copies ). Maker mark was same kind of that was used in those Knights crosses with "lazy 2". Only the mark was not "lazy" in this case but upwards in the pin. I realized this connection only afterwards and this was what rose up my curiosity.

I'll try to post pictures somewhere and add link here, if I can get those photos.

Larry we would definitely need large clear pictures of the obverse, reverse, date, the rivets, makers mark etc. I find the idea of a 4 rivet, 2 marked DK dubious at best, it sounds like one of the many fakes that appear with all sorts of maker’s marks, yet all feature the same characteristics. Only ever seen genuine Juncker’s with 5 rivets, EVER, this is also from a rare maker of the German Cross.<O</O

Yes, my first impression was when I saw that cross was that it's a lousy fake because there were only 4 rivets.

Here is the picture of front of that cross, have to try to get more pictures, now I don't have more.

(It's in axishistory forum's thread, where there are fake crosses presented)

Interesting piece, the front however does not match an original Juncker DK,
I am not 100% sure but I think this piece may have been cast from another piece, and then assembled, just a feeling. Maybe others will have some more comments?

              ?

Can't say I've ever heard of a 4 rivet Juncker DK.

If you buy it, I suspect you may have a bit of trouble if ever you try to sell it on.

Thanks Dez for the quick replys.

Martin, you are right. I categorize that cross as a fake until solid proof comes to state otherwise.
