EK I - Help with Maker Please

From a previous post with better pictures. The other cross turned out to be Maker 4.

Cross has replaced pin. Original is shown in another photo.

    Non Magnetic.

It's also a little smaller than your normal ekI.

    Opinions welcomed please.

I probably agree with Fabrizio. Is it 3-piece construction? Can you please post measurements?
            Best regards,

It is 3 piece construction. Not magnetic.

It appears to be 42mm by 42mm

Could be 42.5 by 42.5 as I'm using a metal ruler so it might be out by a little.

It is not more than 42.5mm in either measurement.

Now that everyone is back from the Max.

Any more thoughts on the maker?

                  Hi Wayne,

the maker of these crosses is unknown.

There are 2 core-variations, and they also come as SB, with a big disc and a small screw.

                    Ben,

You're sure these are good? I'm interested to know how.

                    Thanks,
                    Best regards,

                      Hi Trevor,

although I have no solid evidence:
                      - these crosses are very well made with the right materials
                      - I only know of (and have seen) a small number for sale over the past years
                      - there are only small numbers in the collections I know
                      - and a good deal of gut-feeling.

Apart from that you can find the complete set when you're lucky.
It comes as SB, PB (2 cores) and ek2 (2 cores, so I am still looking for one to complete the set)

If it would have been a copy, we wou;d have seen more of them over the past years....

                      Ben

All good reasons, Ben, and I certainly trust your feeling more than mine, having never held one myself. Interestingly, this one does not look well made in these photos, but that means little.
                        Best regards,

                          Thanks for the insight.

Cross looks better in hand than in the photos.

You are right, they DO look better in hand.
