Klein&Quenzer KC

Your KC is nearly identical to mine, except that Your cross is not marked "800".
Very, very nice cross.
As I know now, the K&Q KCs are not the leading ones - everyone wants to have the KCs made by Juncker or S&L, but I think the K&Q-KCs are very nice too.

"cheap" KCs by K&Q
Originally posted by Military nut View PostI won't complain! I don't yet have a RK, so this gives me hope that I can get one on the lower end of the price scale
Now, 11 years later the cheapest KCs (I think that these are now the K&Qs) are at EURO 6000,--.
But the difference between a K&Q and a L/12 is IMO too high.
Why do the collectors not like the K&Qs as much as other KCs?
Is it the "flaw-problem"? Or are they available in huge numbers everywhere so that collectors are bored of them?

This leads to speculation about postwar manufacture.
However, your K+Q RK (thread-starter) -- without the 12 o'clock flaw -- should be more valuable because it is 100% a wartime piece.
Also, all RK's will fall in price over the next few years, in my personal opinion. I suspect they will all settle around $4,000 - $5,000 in the next, say, five years.Best regards,

Since I am collecting documents, uniforms and awards, my friends and me saying every year: "the price of the Wehrmacht items are now so high, they cannot rise anymore" - every year we were wrong - until today
Financial crisis, joblessness - nothing stopped the exorbitant prices of german militaria of the WW II, especially the higher awards.
We will see, in about 5 years...

Well, I will be waiting patiently for this to happen. I can't even find 1957 pattern Knight's Crosses for reasonable prices any more.
Unless we have an global economic disaster, I don't think we will see prices for rare and/or desireable pieces dropping.

Interesting statement.
Based on?
I only ask as the price of RK (original) have risen since the end of WW11.
Demand has always exceeded supply.
