It won't work for anyone as it's a file directory link on a personal hard drive. To make the photo visible, wrecks, post it to a photo hosting site and then post that link here.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Link is working now but those photos are pretty tough to work from.

The rounded inner beading makes me think it's a Souval made piece however the very low date reminds me of a Floch fake. I do note that the swas is very low as well so maybe the entire core has shifted. Is the core loose? I'm assuming this is a full size item rather than an enlarged photo of a miniature on a bracelet. Would that be correct? Regardless if you are thinking of purchasing it my advice would be to seek something in better condition off the Estand.

        Regards,
        Stu

PS: The lack of an 800 mark is not an issue with regards to TR EK.

          Posting on behalf of wrecks79.
IMO it is an original, albeit mis-shapen Souval. (I've sharpened the photo slightly.)
Looking at the position of the swastika in relation to the date it looks like the core has moved down a few mm so I would be confident saying it is not a Floch.

Looks original, been beaten up as biker jewelry maybe, who knows... Lots of beat Iron Crosses around, the distinction is in the story if you have one for it...

Thanks for the better pic Adrian. I agree...Souval and as the core is loose that accounts for the low date. The reverse view appears to indicate the jump ring was left unattached as it should be on a Souval.

I'm going to take the opportunity to show my 'cross on a chain' also. This is an unmarked '23'...

Must have been a watch fob, or something...

Wow Robert, I like that one! Someday I'd like to find a nice EK2 1914 that was made into a watch fob decades ago.

Robert, I love that chain. It looks like something from Alien.

Wrecks, you link to a nice site, but every single thing on the German medals page is sold. Is it your site?
                        Best regards,

                            Trevor,

Alien, huh? This fob, which I believe is nickel silver, came from the city of Mannhiem (sp...Mannheim?), Germany. In my imagination it belonged to a loyal patriot of the 3rd Reich, who evidently wanted the world that he lived in to know that he had won his Iron Cross during the war. It has appreciable wear to the cross and chain, telling me that it was used over a long period of time. I just had to have it when I was offered it.

I would have felt the same way! Can we see the bottom of the chain? I'm interested to see how it all links together.

                              Thanks,
